This is the minimum kit to be taken on a walking day. If you turn up for a walking day without this kit you will not be allowed to take part and may stop the whole group from setting off.

 

Wear

 

Strong shoes / walking boots (no trainers)

Base layer or Tshirt

Shirt

Fleece top or warm jumper

Warm trousers - no jeans

Two pairs of socks (thin pair inside thick pair on top)

 

If its raining water proof top and trousers (lightweight showerproof tops and waterproof fleeces are not considered as outerwear) 

 

Rucksack

 

Water proof coat and trousers if not wearing.

Minimum of 1.5 liters of drinks hot & cold.

Packed lunch - small snacky type things which can be eaten on the move.

Hat, gloves, scarf

Small first aid kit

Survival bag and whistle

Torch & spare batteries

Spare pair of socks

Pack of Haribo and kendal mint cake
